UP Police recently published a recruitment notification for the SI post (Men & Women), and there is a different age limit set for General, OBC, SC, and ST category candidates. 921 Sub-Inspector in Confidential, Clerk and Accounts Cadre posts need to be filled with this recruitment process. Interested candidates must meet all other eligibility criteria along with the age limit.
UP Police SI Age Limit 2024
Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment & Promotion Board (UPPBPB) set an age limit for who can apply for this job posting. Candidates should be born between July 1, 1995, and July 1, 2002. Meaning candidates must be 21 on 01/07/2023 and no more than 28. There is a relaxation on the upper age limit for ST/SC (have UP domicile certificate) candidates according to government recruitment rules.

Online application form filling will open from 7th January 2024, and the last date of form filling will be 28/01/2024. Application fees for this recruitment process are 400 rupees.
- Catorgy wise distribution of total 268 SI posts in Confidential Cadre (गोपनीय) are General 114, OBC 71, आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर 25, SC 54 & ST 4.
- Catorgy wise distribution of total 449 Clerk Cadre (लिपिक) are General 186, OBC 120, आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर 43, SC 93 & ST 7.
- Catorgy wise distribution of total 204 Accounts Cadre (लेखा) are General 88, OBC 53, आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर 19, SC 42 & ST 2.
Selection Process:
Step 1: There will be a total of 200 questions in the written exam, with a time limit of 2 hours and 30 minutes. The exam will be worth a total of 400 marks. There will be 100 questions from each of the following catagory. You need 35% in each and 40% overall marks to clear this exam.
- General Hindi / Computer Knowledge
- General Information/ Social Science
- Numerical & Mental Ability Test
- Mental Aptitude Test/IQ Test/ Reasoning
Step 2.1: Document Verification – Candidates cleared from step 1 will be called for document verification.
Step 2.2: Physical standard test – PST will be conducted for candidates cleared in steps 1 & 2. In Men, Height and Chest are key. 163 CM height for General/OBC/SC and 156 CM for ST is required. Candidates must be able to expand their chest by 5 cm; for women, height and weight matter. Women’s height is 150 CM, 145 CM for ST required, and 40 KG weight.
