UPPRPB successfully conducted the UP Police Constable exam today. Just after the exam, posts of the UP Constable Paper leak went viral on social media, especially in Telegram groups. Though there were some disturbances during this period, 287 people involved were arrested by Uttar Pradesh Police.
This recruitment exam was conducted to fill 60244 vacancies at UP Police as Constable. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) conducted the UP Police Constable recruitment exam on February 17 and 18. According to the latest updates, More than 48 lakh candidates appeared in this recruitment exam. To conduct this exam smoothly, authorities set up about 2385 examination centers in all 75 state districts.
Amitabh Thakur, a former IPS officer and the national president of Azad Adhikar Sena has written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, urging him to conduct a fair and transparent investigation into the alleged paper leak of the Uttar Pradesh Constable Recruitment Examination. Thakur has pointed out that serious facts are emerging on social media regarding the alleged paper leak, and therefore, a thorough investigation is necessary.
UP Constable Paper leak – UPPRPB released Notice about Exam Cancelation 
There are claims on social media that the UP Police Constable Recruitment Exam paper has been leaked, and screenshots are being shared regarding this.
Update 24 Feb: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the cancellation of this recruitment exam. The UP Police Recruitment Exam will be conducted for the second time in August 2024.
Update 21 Feb: A candidate named Ravi Prakash Singh from Narayanpur district, Bhojpur Bihar, was caught during the police recruitment examination at Dr. Kiran Saujia Academy on Sunday. He was found carrying two papers. Among the 150 questions asked in the examination,114 were marked correctly.
UPPRPB tweeted, saying, “The Board is always committed to maintaining the transparency and integrity of each examination.”
Police Chief Prashant Kumar has announced that those who cheat during exams will be caught and face strict consequences. The accused individuals arrested or detained are being questioned after a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against them.
Before the exam began, the board had appealed to the candidates. “Don’t waste your parents’ hard-earned money by believing anyone who tells you they can help you pass this exam. Only you can help yourself. Unfair means will land you in jail. Do you want to be a criminal or be a police officer who catches criminals?”
About Exam: The exam consists of objective questions. Questions include General Hindi, General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability, and Mental Aptitude/Reasoning. Each paper will have a total of 150 questions, each question carrying 2 marks.
